Roxy Likes Cats

Last night, Roxy had a phone call her from her mum.

She finished the call, packed her bags and started the long journey home.

Now she’s off the train and walking down her street, knowing that when she gets to the door of her house, puts the key in and steps inside, things will never be the same again.

‘Roxy Likes Cats’ takes place in the moments a young woman arrives home, for the first time, after hearing of the sudden loss of her father. In the minutes before she enters the house, she tells stories of her childhood, her father and her cat.

Centered around the state of limbo that we often encounter when faced with a sudden, tragic event. Caught between the past and the future, Roxy contemplates what her life has been up to now and what it might become in the future.
